Welcome everybody and Liz MacDonald filling in for a judge -- -- -- tonight can come there Ron Paul the front runner withstand the attacks Newt Gingrich has already -- -- congressman.

Without naming him suggesting that Ron Paul does not understand how dangerous the world this.

But congresswoman Michelle Bachmann was for -- directed her tactic -- -- of the best.

-- -- would make a very dangerous precedent.

Ron Paul would wait until the United States had a city that was taken out by a nuclear weapon.

Or misunderstood and misrepresented by the media he's dug -- presidents of the starring in senior advisor to the Ron Paul campaign.

So sir how -- misrepresented in the media.

I -- what -- That clip you just ran it's a good example.

Ron Paul is in favor of the constitution.

He's not against war.

-- flow if there's -- crises.

You don't let some hysterical congresswoman from Minnesota decide when we go to war and where we go to war you take it to the US congress congress.

There's nothing extreme about that there's nothing dangerous about the US -- -- -- -- We're just saying -- -- -- of their you do clearly we give them more in our existing without hang on my second but today and I'm Ron -- is also said terrorist attack the United States.

Because we've been in the middle least because of you know he -- -- 9/11 -- bring glee.

And the Bush Administration as a pretext invading Iraq.

Take a listen to this quote that we've got from somebody who's not in the GOP party he or rather -- is from mr.

Wolfowitz he said.

We can now remove almost all of our forces from Saudi Arabia.

Their presence there over the last twelve years has been a source of enormous difficulty -- friendly government.

It's been a huge recruiting device for -- Qaeda in fact.

If you look at -- long one of his principal grievances was -- presence of so called crusader forces on the holy land Mecca and the idea what do you make of that quote.

Well that's happened.

A lot of people agree with that and that and in 1953 Iran poll points out we went into the Middle East and we -- out democratically elected prime minister -- -- And we come back sixty years later in ways we come with war.

And we say well we need a democracy in the Middle East what what what what are the people supposed to think but remember Ron Paul voted to go after Osama bin Laden.

And Ron Paul was the only public figure who defended Israel.

When she took out those nuclear reactors and -- Iraq he's not against four cities and not against war he's in favor of the American constitution.

And allowing congress to deliberate when we should go to war.

Because there's unintended consequences to these wars we need to think them through before we fire the gun.

-- so we've got a 27 year old now running North Korea.

A nuclear on state we've got the Middle East especially Egypt still unraveling.

We've got you know that continued rise of Iran how Ron Paul presidency handle -- number one what's going on in North Korea and then number two the Middle East.

Well Ron Paul believes first of all -- we should.

Did we should defend our own country.

A lot of troops like troops in Japan and Germany World War II ended sixty years ago.

And those troops could come home.

He believes that America is so economically vulnerable right now that it's impacting our national security so he'd like to see.

Let's turn the economy around and not these endless wars wars without end.

I mean there there are candidates for president who think we should invade Somalia because al-Qaeda is there are -- Nigeria.

You look at Egypt and you mentioned Egypt and that's a good example abundant unintended consequences that doctor.

Paul talks about their thirteen million Christians in Egypt including the large Coptic Christian community.

That could be slaughtered now with the change of government there with the Muslim Brotherhood taking over was -- real law and you look back on the war and I Iraq who -- After we've left directly now the Christian community's been wiped out of church a thousand years old in Mosul.

As Armani -- used to -- results aren't used constant what I need some work for George W.

Bush.

It's interesting comments that you make now about -- -- the Iraq War -- how do you square that.

Well I I'll tell you what I I've what I've worked at seven presidential campaigns.

I've co authored books with presidents I've interviewed six or seven of the president's and first ladies and nineteen of their children and I -- served in the White House for one present an advisor to two presidents and I have never served anyone that.

More incorruptible.

Then Ron Paul I sleep better at night because he's a principled person who believes in the constitution.

And that -- -- sometimes some groups this group or the other group.

But it's so wonderful document and there's nothing extreme.

There's nothing dangerous there's nothing wrong with the US constitution.

-- work just fine.

I've changed my mind about a few things.

OK Doug -- with the Ron Paul campaign so good divinity tonight sir thank you so much for your time.

Thanks so that.
