You know we just had a storybook ending I -- we started the race had.

A puncture in the nose of the car that it seemed -- in there and we had to repair had to make repairs twice certainly in the race and you know by lap 109 when they had.

The red flag for whether we got ourselves back up in the top five and then.

You come back and and and you have a great battle with -- to the end it was it was.

-- it wasn't just this race it was the entire chase and your focus.

You were on a mission.

I think a lot of -- was our our expectations going into the chase are very high -- I honestly did not believe that my team in my organization.

Was in a position to do what we did so.

When we went to Chicago for the first race which case we will -- -- and that is about great we.

We don't allow in the next week and we -- really well in the -- we thought that was going to be a good opportunity for us to have -- good race we go win there and next thing you know we're -- -- point standings but.

We went and over the following week -- and -- 25 out of batteries to put us back in the standings again.

And so.

After the Dover race our expectations kind of went back down again to what I originally thought going -- the -- did you need to do that in your head and away to be -- have not been delays from the very get.

I don't think I needed that but I think.

What the way that we started the chastened and everything leading up to it was just easier to.

So have the reality that this probably isn't gonna go the way that we were hoping it would go but.

No I think Martinsville is a huge turning point for -- season to go there and which -- fight to stay on the lead lap to.

I don't I don't know that I honestly don't know but the good part is going to be fun trying.

So and -- get making get out of bed in the morning -- -- if what else if I get out of -- it's normally late in the morning first of all so.

We have us work that has been built by a family that's run this business for sixty plus years and and it's been.

A multibillion dollar industry in the -- but what's the one thing that you would want changed next year in this in what I would ask our I would.

I would change something that's very very small and really doesn't mean a lot and won't sound like it means a lot of people but.

I would taken off weekend and put it the weekend before the chase actually starts and give the -- a week to get caught up to get a break catch their breath.

You know these teams in these crew members and crew chiefs.

34 weeks before the end of the year there very -- lot of guys have been more injuries you see guys that are just tired.

And you know -- when you start to chase like that you wanna be fresh and it's it's a long -- -- stretch anyway so.

You'd I would like to see one of our off -- be moved closer to the beginning of the -- and that's one thing that a lot of people don't understand how hard -- -- -- now not -- ways they do not understand and even other races you've seen it firsthand I mean you.

You see the guys that work on the tires -- she CR.

Our managers that come workforce and you know one -- -- -- that that works hand in hand with mean been with me for twelve years -- Jarvis.

You know was one of the first guys into the car and and you know he's he's crying like a baby I mean -- just was so emotional.

About what was going on and it just shows how hard everybody works and you -- it brings out the best and everybody but.

It just shows that after a long season like that and an ever by works that -- it's just.

It's hard to contain your motions -- and everybody.

You know it's just in a nice release and you know nice to see your body -- -- I am -- marshmallows but you're tearing up as I speak I -- gonna cry your -- tearing up as we speak here I am I could not be happier I appreciate it.
