Well the presidential election as -- -- off.
But the GOP -- still pretty crowded but have things changed in the wake of last night's debate joining us -- house democratic strategist Doug -- And Republican strategist -- -- -- know while I got to start with you because yeah Rick Perry is certainly the man of the hour.
Is isn't done is is is its quest for the White House over.
How Charles let me -- all the debate last night and Rick Perry.
He's not a classic debater he's not a great writer he's already said he's not a great debater.
The fact that he forgot the third.
Department the Energy Department look these are not robots these are human beings I don't think his whole campaign is over and finished like a lot of people -- Big -- messed up on the debate and forgot the third agents say.
-- I think that he has a lot more on his record and a lot more accomplishments to go wants I don't think his entire campaign is -- want people -- saying.
Here's the thing though Doug as accomplices.
Rick Perry is right at this very moment very few people know what those accomplishments -- just known for one or two deaths now I think maybe even three important -- Charles I think it's pretty simple it's over.
And he was 45 to fifty seconds of silence.
I'm not for -- against Rick -- -- call it as I see it but Charles I think it's safe to say he's not gonna be the Republican nominee.
No one out and got no.
No well let me let me just say.
This is a pretty relatable experience and -- thinks it is something that we can all sympathize empathize with but at the same time -- clearly shows a lack of being able to think on your -- perhaps just sort of -- a lack of perspective here.
We can forget -- is that a memorizing some statements but you gotta be able to think on your fears of president and -- -- Well you know I agree with you have to be you know I -- thank on your statement you know and as we all are on television -- coming counts and he had a great -- -- how many times have you been making employment a point and just gone up what was that.
I think people are hammering repair a little too far thinking his -- had seen.
I think he needed to bounce back I think this is the debate that he -- bounce back -- I think he didn't.
But I think that he is in was never gonna bounce back into the number one spot in -- what a fantastic debate Mitt Romney is the one that the -- -- my in my opinion that was a clear winner and you got as a national fund raiser this is coming down in the money.
And I think that the only person that's got the biggest surge in this debate with Newt Gingrich I think that he.
You're gonna see a shift I think you're gonna see new start moving up because this is about who can beat Obama and I think people think in the long run.
Parity just -- have the debating skills to go and.
So you know -- -- -- no well real quick if I want also -- -- opinion on this.
Just 24 hours ago the big story was Herman Cain and all the allegations against them are you suggesting that and then he really is just gonna be an also ran -- process.
I think that Herman -- you're gonna see fall back in not because you know I think the -- -- -- a little mad but I think in the long run you're gonna say -- see that Herman Cain.
Doesn't have the global experience that we need number one and number two.
Government is a big deal and government is is something that you have to run and no have to have experience on and he is touting the -- -- -- a businessman etc.
Let let's did that God's opinion on that we've Lucy came in where do you see ultimately -- -- the Republican nominee.
I guess what I would say is I think Herman -- acquitted himself quite well last night and my sense is that he's tied.
With Mitt Romney nationally even in South Carolina new polls -- as -- -- -- in Florida and Iowa is very competitive I don't think he's done I think the Republican.
Primary electorate is really pretty angry and Herman Cain is there vehicle.
Very quickly what is this due for a bomb -- what is -- my mind right now he designed more chaos more divisions.
More uncertainty in more conversations like this for him its money in the bank had a great week by the way too with the union votes and think Jesse did a very big week for very deadly for the present.
Thank you so must have shown in on that or we gotta have you guys -- Wilson thanks so much time.
Well earlier on this hour we ask you what three government agencies would you kind of view where the president you're wit -- Rick Perry here are some of the answer -- -- suggested forehand a guy said last night.
March needed housing education and the EPA house easy.
Michael said I'd start out cutting before I move energy education EPA and labor and then I pushed and benefits for elected officials.
JD -- in JDH.
Asked they TSA and the EPA and Thomas said easy that -- that housing and urban development.
-- department labor and agriculture.
Bonus points Interior Department -- agreement Governor Perry about getting rid of the Education Department others wanted to dump the EPA.
Which is also what his rivals suggested when -- can remember the third agency.
-- he wanted to get rid of but that department he was trying to remember was the Energy Department.
-- -- Yeah well up next want more of my compelling stocks this.
