Plunging revenue and lost market share.

Atlantic City is looking for new life the newly established a lake city alliance.

Working with some of the city's biggest casinos -- track visitors to the country's second largest gambling market.

With us now is was a -- -- CEO of the Atlantic City a lie Hansen Don Marron Dino was president of the eastern division.

For Caesars entertainment corporation and you guys have have but certainly a big challenge ahead of -- to try and at some sparkle to what is sometimes viewed as sort of the the little sister who was and so as exciting as Vegas but what are the first things that you're doing to try and attract more attention.

Well I think the first thing you have to put in context is that for the first time the casinos have joined together.

Would be a leadership in the state government to really put -- dedicated funds together.

To the tune of thirty million dollars a year.

To help really tell the Atlantic City story.

Which is really one far more than gaining it's all about the entertainment the dining the natural attractions.

And that's really -- a new thing for Atlantic City to be able to have those resources.

Don in 2010.

There was 3.5 billion dollars in revenue that came in Atlantic City and there was only what about.

Nine million dollars spent on marketing and that's pathetic he said.

Even even the new figures sounds -- -- small compared to what you could be doing in terms of market I would think Las Vegas spends a much larger percentage of revenues on marketing.

Coming from Vegas I'm familiar with a hundred million plus budget and they do it as well as anybody in the in the world promoting their destination.

I think what -- itself and the other casinos in town.

Well couple up and come up with a great campaign.

-- highlight some of the great amenities that that -- highlighted.

And really show what a great.

Destination Linux in -- -- only been why they're only been nine million in marketing that's just seems like a big mistake.

But was the it was everybody for themselves so to speak and didn't concentrate on marketing -- destination.

Now realizes challenge going forward to say.

Here's everything together here's how we're gonna work together and bring this this town back.

Okay luring the customer especially.

Not just from the regions around New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

How are you going to convince people that this is a destination.

I'm going to be very honest with you while I have never been people say to me Atlantic City it's sort of down and out -- sort of a quick fix for.

For gamblers who like to go down their -- bus at.

That isn't that enticing and -- how do you make it more sparkly and of that attracting the high roller who will spend more money.

Well the reality is that the -- that the current person who comes and enjoys Atlantic City.

Will tell you that it is sparkly that there are fabulous entertainment options world class dining world class shopping.

So -- the research that has been done before my arrival on the scene points very clearly.

That once you've been to Atlantic City you really do appreciate everything it has to offer so our opportunity and our challenge will be to get people the common and check it out himself so.

We give you an open invitation to come down any time and we'll show -- what it's about.

It was like to give a free chips I think shall -- go up a dot net boardwalk empire I don't know if your fan I'm a huge fan of HBO's boardwalk empire is that.

Is that -- of course it talks about the the gritty realities but it is kind of enticing you think that's helping the city's image -- not.

Without.

Question now boardwalk empire my favorite show also.

On a Sunday night is it has just been terrific for us people come and the want to retrace the steps that -- he -- And there are several of his -- that are still out there and active.

Has just been a great a great thing we see.

On the boardwalk a lot of the music from the twenties at some places.

And depictions of the of the store fronts that where they're back in the day so it's been agree it's been a great help.

We we look at it as an hour commercial every week for our destination up a lot of the same things still still stay.

I wanna tell you that -- put it up -- the Twitter verse about what should be attacked live in here a couple of them.

Atlantic City more from the shore okay here's another what I have to -- over to the have to look.

No wait wait just like Vegas but with the notion.

And here's what happened civic gets doesn't -- Atlantic City -- with there was one more Columbus when Vegas -- a bar happens that you.

I -- yeah Atlanta.

Yeah forget about that go to Atlantic City good luck to you about thank you -- Dodd thanks a lot.

Thank you will the man who found.
