At delivering strong sales growth in the third quarter and in spite of lowering their full year guidance.
Rick Goings as the chairman and CEO Tupperware He joins me down -- Fox Business was -- from Orlando.
Florida and I tell a quarter free America have a lot of questions for either first it seems and it's all about -- you.
Emerging market growth India is more than 60% -- sales right now you really are finding that expand the -- brand globally is working for you.
What are you doing right -- India and how can you build America.
Yeah what India really was up more than 60% they're not there are very small percentage of our overall.
Business and I think.
We really are not just in emerging market story -- they had established market story where there's high per capita income.
And we're emerging market story but you you got to face facts only 5% of the world's population.
Is in the United States and that we just -- this month seven billion population.
Of the world than most of them -- out there what we're really doing right.
India Indonesia former Soviet Union.
-- you have these things that come together limited earning opportunities for women.
Not much of a retail.
Infrastructure.
And incredibly.
Driving force is a growing middle class.
India now has 350.
Million.
In their middle class.
That by itself they've been -- fourth largest country in the world if you just spoke to their middle.
Class right but obviously get it was important part of the quarter but also young what do focus on something else and that is the brick and more competition that you're facing ten years ago you did do.
A partnership with target -- here.
Pulled away from that that didn't work out for you I'm curious though as you expand into more -- emerging markets if you're concerned about basically piracy theft of the brands having a legal wholesalers grabbing your products and selling them -- emerging markets -- not concern you at all.
Well we deal with a first they go to bad did target.
Target was never really them just selling yet that was our sales force and target stores but it confuse the consumer.
They thought we were we had gone retail and that's not the story here.
Very much like it -- look at one of the great things about.
What is made apple work is.
New hire tech products.
But put it into a demonstration mode.
And an Apple Store that's what makes us work for us to.
Twenty years ago a typical product in France for example was ten dollars.
Now our best selling product in France is a hundred dollars but it is demonstrated.
And just like the genius bar is demonstrated by busy working women at kind of a girl's night out party.
-- tell you Everett maybe I'm in that category because I would say 45 dollars for the -- been -- Chef because government I have to actually you know choppy thing on my L I can just pull the string and -- all the vegetables I appreciate that the laser I get -- -- -- brought.
-- by the way Cheryl every time you pull that is equivalent to.
A hundred shops of the -- -- -- a lot of time.
Yeah I've got her but I at the top or anything else of my life several thank you very but that's an analyst community very complimentary of -- -- -- dealing with your employees so thank you very much for being on Fox -- love to have you back.
-- be with you -- Rick Goings the chairman of the CEO.
