Okay you say ridiculous it's one today yeah -- already Heritage Foundation.
Well about class warfare.
I'm a little concerned.
That the president sort of work in -- trying to come together to get things done where we agree and there -- policies we agree on that we think create jobs.
-- -- doing that.
He's pushing this class warfare same which I think is battling mathematically.
Doesn't add up.
It didn't work for economics doesn't work -- -- but it's it's demeaning to the character of our country divides people would it it speaks to people as if they're stuck in some class.
But they're stuck in the current station like the government should help them cope with it.
And that really runs contrary to our sense of upward mobility in America to our principal.
Of equality of opportunity not equality of outcome.
And we ought to be talking about making it easier for people to rise.
Encouraging upward mobility and not pitting people against each other -- very divisive.
Bring on entity resentment and fear.
Is it especially in these tough economic times just add insult to injury to our economy.
But more importantly I think -- sort of demeaning to the character of our country and we ought to be talking about you know how to grow the pie and not to divide up the slices of shrinking -- Citi years and in -- -- Merrill that it's a little too much attention to.
I don't care much -- of -- But I'm pretty much you know.
Not a -- eleven -- buy their own -- federal.
But we're gonna go through reform -- -- talking about -- it but -- but so help me out of that it but the language that the president uses.
Conclude just your class warfare is one.
While He does it what does He say.
Basically saying if it's.
You know He talks about million millionaires.
On the back to the middle class.
On the kind of rhetoric He uses and I would argue the policies He pushes.
Seems to suggest that just some other people can -- for everything in society.
In what it ended up doing.
Is it misses the opportunity to fix our problem let me to be a mathematical point -- if you take.
100% tax and everyone He called rich to people making two -- -- -- -- above that -- -- run the government for six months to six months here's the problem.
80% of small businesses in America.
80% of all businesses in America excuse me file their taxes and individual people have to address corporation limited liability partnerships -- -- Where I come from in Wisconsin 90% of our business is -- individual He is proposing in fourteen months protection go to 50%.
Well overseas which in Wisconsin sometimes we mean Lake Superior.
In the Canadians.
They're lowering their taxes on businesses to 15%.
And so they're trying to sell this economic agenda punitive tax increases and job creators.
-- through what I would call.
Devices to eight to prey on envy and resentment in class warfare.
And what will -- -- of -- would be telling our economy you'll be crushing.
Small businesses supported where most of our jobs come from.
And more the point even if we did this it would give the money we need to fix our problem.
Course couple arguments about all this -- -- many say that exceptional really rich people don't pay their fair share recollections and and not all of -- -- people are job creators so.
So what I think of that is let's get rid of the -- pulled -- lower obstetrics.
The top 1% -- almost all the tax shelters and loopholes.
So why not get rid of -- -- lower the rates that's what the Republican budget proposes that we passed in April 2 thing we would do.
Which I think we can get consensus on.
Instead of subsidizing direction -- -- stop the corporate.
Welfare stopped according capitalism.
And why should we be paying for -- I'm this is you know Medicare health in and and sister benefits like his secretary.
It we should not be subsidizing.
Wealthier people nearly as much as everybody else if at all.
And we shouldn't be giving picking winners and losers either to the tax code.
-- spending money at the Department of Energy on connected corporations.
Which -- the barrier against everybody else in the marketplace and so the way we look at it is.
What clean up this mess.
Let's have a pro growth economic policy.
And let's set a level playing field so people can succeed.
And promote upper mobility instead of having sort of a crony capitalism system.
-- -- You win it or not you loose.
Aren't they like to incorporate to my name and -- I still -- -- what -- -- Way of getting married about six minister darted out in order number in a while they're wondering if present artists market -- already.
Triggered a Saudi order of six minutes I can come up to president of one of -- started on -- so.
They were saying was made Milwaukee famous is metal is not a -- -- -- -- Hussein made -- certainly in Milwaukee and all Bruce group who's saying.
What's made Milwaukee famous.
-- -- -- -- -- Generally loans that are but it was time -- -- them.
The president's job Stoller will create jobs for -- more cost more traditional stuff like don't want.
Well if you bail out state governments you can prevent state government from doing those kinda lay -- The point it would make on that is could get a -- Rockefeller federal government and the states have.
Balance budgets so their finances.
For most states are not looked at him talking about California Illinois they're better off -- the federal government finances more the point.
I think -- -- kind of a moral hazard.
If we give states the idea that whatever they mismanaged their finances the federal government Uncle Sam will bail them out.
Tax -- from steel -- states will bail out taxpayers.
From profligate states.
But more the point we don't have the money and we that the federal government does not create jobs.
The private sector creates job -- And so we have to get back to the notion.
The to make it easy easy as possible for our our companies our biggest climate -- certainty.
To build that grows there can get a private sector job creation get a reduced economic growth and job creation you get more -- and it helps with your fiscal problems.
And borrowing more money in spending and -- that -- we would be fine particularly been doing a lot of it.
That was the whole notion of stimulus.
We pumped almost a trillion dollars out the window in 2009 -- ten when He count borrowing costs.
And it didn't do it -- didn't create millions of jobs that was promised it didn't bring unemployment below 8% we're still at about 9% so I would simply say.
This sort of moral and spend mentality is proven to fail so we shouldn't double -- -- doing it again and what we think we ought to do it where the president I think agrees with us.
But let's clean up the tax code let's at least -- protect -- businesses.
Stop picking winners and losers clear up -- loopholes lower the rates but it's more competitive.
Or four competitors protection their businesses that look much lower rates that we -- -- and it's hurting us and so those are the kind of think that it would do.
But a bipartisan basis and I would simply say stop subsidizing corporations and wealthy people.
That's a good way to save money without hurting the economy.
Spent -- a bipartisan there of on this bipartisan.
Deficit cutting commission and wanted to -- on that and which is why did yours soon.
Our couple reasons I think the budget process is broken and I'm -- the fall trying to come -- the new budget system.
It's over 900 case since the senate passed a budget and that means the government.
-- federal government has not had a budgets for two years.
-- we pass stars by the -- deadline of April 15 but the senate panel headed for two years they're not telling us they're not gonna pass one next year.
So this -- completely broken down.
And in the Budget Committee where -- serve as chairman -- all is the time that you have to build a rewrite this budget rules and that's sort of honest my time working on.
On the so ask John Boehner not to put me on the select committee I'm I'm involved in that our staff there's a lot of numbers that a lot of the research for the select committee.
Tom but I -- one don't think the country's problems are gonna be salt.
What killed twelve people you know reach an agreement.
