Steve Jobs and speaking of Apple's Steve Jobs -- the make or break his company simply by allowing -- banning its technology from his apple products.

One Silicon Valley company banned from the iPad came fighting back and is alive and kicking.

The CEO has legislation in -- Fox Business expose it for three days in the valley -- Well actually last year during our third installment of three days in the valley was about the time that Steve Jobs said.

We are banishing Adobe Flash from the iPad because He just like to different programming language html five better.

-- back then the CEO of Adobe said that we will survive and He joins me now bias.

Of all places the Adobe display here at the tech museum in San Jose good to see shop and a list shot up and put it this is it this is is what I mean imagine -- -- -- that you have your -- display here at the tech museum but.

We gotta get your reaction to the breaking news that apple stores and the retail stores will all be closed during memorial for Steve Jobs.

In another lifetime you worked -- apple didn't you.

What are your thoughts.

Well I think Steve's -- is really a loss for the industry it's clear that he's made such fundamental transformation in computing and I think it's appropriate that we.

Recognizes accomplishments.

-- not just apple but for the entire industry.

Well it's it's pretty generous of you to be saying that considering that a year ago He thought up and said I don't like Adobe Flash I don't want to on my iPad.

You and I spoke.

Back then and -- -- too bad we totally disagreed and we will come back fighting for quarters.

-- billion dollar plus revenues after that you're doing just fine we are.

Innovating and it's such a fabulous time right now to be innovating when you think about what's happening when it.

Tablets and computing changing to the cloud.

And we've really embraced it -- and so as you said -- million dollar quarter as an -- some phenomenon new applications that we've announced a brand new creative loud.

Doubling down on digital marketing it's an exciting time at Adobe that you brought a lot of terms here for people should really understand that when you watch a video or you watch something or you touch something very photo shop that's -- -- so.

Look at this display here and show you really big -- to touch screen now.

That's right when you think about the entire creative process.

It almost was that you know we all -- amounts to create an almost is not as natural.

As either touch screen or a stylus and so -- is innovating around how can we use the new generation of goblins.

Not just as a consumption device but as a creation device so what is this doing here.

So what does does as you actually have full screens and this is a composite default of the full screens.

It stopped sensitive because it allows you to use market posting -- -- draw and -- And it you know composite all of this creation on -- street.

Bright spots here and box.

You know -- -- this this really fascinating -- you talk about touch and you say is that relieve the way of the future and at some point will we be touching our PCs.

And our tires things are -- area.

Well I think -- there as it relates to stop let's and that's it relates to BC's are you from now we will absolutely be there.

Let's go back to the Steve Jobs issue because it was very insulting I'm sure everybody and Adobe that and that of course frankly us where we would go -- -- but I passes it would say sorry this doesn't support Adobe's flash.

How did you come about that -- human race that other programming language html and if so how.

The big news for Adobe is that when you want to create content.

It's not a flash or HDMI the fight its -- fight and flash and we wouldn't frankly.

We've embraced html we made some really interesting acquisitions one which allowed you to create applications all of the -- bad.

The stop selling application on the IA store was actually an application called -- Miriam.

And it also Adobe's about creation -- about making sure that as you said whether it's Vanity Fair that wants to have an issue on.

The Amazon enough fire -- -- the iPad or an android tablet Adobe creates that's the Major League Baseball.

If you want to see the playoffs all of that video is down to Adobe technology so apple Clinton -- you fight banning that part of your business.

What we've been innovating and we've been growing at the beginning of the you know we said we -- double digits -- you know I about targets both the fiscal year.

And we grow our earnings close to 20%.

Passenger revenue though comes from outside the United States we can't ignore the weakness in Europe the stock is down about 6% year over here but.

Just this year to date it's down 14%.

Is that a reflection of what's going on in Europe and you tell me you're the one in the trenches there.

How serious.

Could a systemic problem -- either Portugal or Spain or Italy or Greece really struggling -- I think it's great that you're here in the valley because in the value do you believe it is -- -- innovate our way around any macro economic issue and so thank you ignore Europe.

No we did say that we saw some of weakness in Europe last quarter but Q3 tends to be -- traditional walk we walked out.

We're hoping that you know and economy rebounds.

And I think you know fundamentally having all of these economies yes focus on building long term sustainable economies I think is good for the industry and -- -- -- Years ago you came here to this country went to Bowling Green university of us like to tell people where are brilliant guessed it went to -- you did -- an advanced degree at Berkeley and the education here in the United States where do we stand some people tried speeded up and say we're not churning out enough engineers are you hiring and do you find a paucity -- lack of real qualified employees.

I actually think engineering enrollment in schools has actually increased.

Now with 2 teenage kids I am -- about the education system even more as you know we both went to Berkeley.

But getting into both -- -- spurred some of these -- here in the valley is harder than it's ever been before and so it's clear.

That we're still able to be a magnet for attracting the.

-- -- but I guess is still at best and brightest of Michigan.

Texas Oklahoma anywhere right if I wanted talented anyway I'm so biased it was the bears but I guess a shot and -- -- -- Of it -- it's great to see you thank you so much thank you for having amazing stuff but Adobe Flash and coming up.

A -- and this a hundred million active customers that.

Is what PayPal has and they have made -- so easy for you to buy anything at Adobe product or apple product online at coming up in a Fox Business exclusive.

PayPal head Scott Thompson.

On the fact that frankly Ashley they've gotten almost as big if not bigger than the actual market place of -- their parent companies were talking about that -- -- We believe a great great stuff -- and I'm holding out hope beyond hope that I can get Adobe on my -- tablets -- you never know.

I gotta keep the hope alive a great.
