Program this morning.
If the at -- now.
Was like the teachers union.
Americans simply wouldn't watch football his how hall of fame quarterback -- talk and then compare the NFL play as you into organized labor in education and I'm quoting now from his article.
Imagine the national hopefully get an ultimate -- reality.
The only difference between Tom Brady and the worst player in the league is a few years -- step increases -- that the not quite sure.
And all this -- talking to live with -- -- clever -- -- affordable Connick guy myself as you can tell from my accidents so what do you think -- -- If the NFL will run the -- players' union would just like the teachers union explain it to me.
Well meritocracy.
-- always worked in America for fundamental America and it works in football it works in business.
But in this in the case of the teachers union that doesn't put it doesn't work there not practice there.
Because if you teach for three years.
You have ten year.
If you are great teacher and help students learn you don't get paid any more money if -- bad teacher and don't help the students party -- no incentive.
If in football we did have the incentive.
That we get paid more money.
Like Tom Brady or Peyton Manning or Drew -- does for a great performance we and everybody got paid at the same level.
Then then we would not have anywhere near the performance.
And and the enjoyment of pro football that we have we what do you think about.
You're at your article in the Wall Street Journal but it was a flat out attack on the teachers' union -- It it was of it flat out of that we we know in this country that education.
Is not working as well as it -- And we -- -- throw more money and hire more teachers and build build more buildings and have more computers we have the best equipped.
A buildings and and and in the world we spend more.
Four -- student here than anywhere else in the world except Switzerland.
It's not working.
And it won't work.
Unless we change the system are you but I don't you're a money manager -- an entrepreneur are you run very not a money Matt I'm not I'm not a money -- -- businessperson I cannot understand success and failures and I understand what causes them there's got to be accountability and the -- we have great feature we only -- wonder what you do -- know -- we need teachers to teach we need.
We need coaches -- -- if -- Coach is unsuccessful coaching and teaching cease fire.
A teacher who not successful the bad teachers never fire do you wanna get it do you wanna get into politics.
I do not want to get into politics I'm a business person.
I'm a small business person as you knows -- -- -- I have -- cannot affect our education system unless you go into the political wall.
Alike yet I can be -- I can go out and speak the truth.
And I can be heard.
And but I'm a business person that's what I am I represents small business I work with small business people to help them be more successful.
And we understand that we got to reward people that work hard that a creative and innovative that's what America was based don't.
We've gotten away from that and we need to get back to that and solve the problems that we have education system.
The do the revenues system pacs system if you will needs to be reform we all know that we need people in Washington Republicans autograph to go out solve our problem.
-- talking to I don't think you'll get any disagreement from anybody in this studio today -- good stuff thanks for joining us as always had historically thank you.
You want to make a quick point and I'm not.
Not just it's a function I think the larger issue is Stuart that it's a function of the fact that in the private sector such as private football teams.
Who were out there to make a profit.
They are negotiating with the with the union and -- -- -- they want to -- the more the better players to be higher paid they want to bring in the finance.
But in the public sector.
The the bosses if you will who were negotiating with the -- and you're all politicians.
And there is no profit factor there's no gating factors -- touted don't have the -- -- Republican -- voted if that's really what's lying behind on these comments.
