On.

So marine book Buddy Roemer -- joining me now.

Former Louisiana governor and Republican president -- candidate.

Buddy -- -- governor and you had quite a fan the from the radio show in and if this is really.

A way to find out more about you you you are running for president you were.

Well you were first of all a pretty smart guys felt like I above is really drama -- article about you from the Christian Science Monitor your valedictorian of your.

High school -- you went to Harvard when you were sixty years of age.

You were -- time member of congress you were elected governor you're back during the George W.

Bush 41 -- you were governor Louisiana.

But you were a Democrat when you -- member of congress so what.

What's your background what are you wanna tell people that that don't know you don't want to hear from you haven't been in politics for twenty years.

It's true and I wouldn't normally run.

But I think our nations in trouble.

I think we have persistent unemployment because we've given our best jobs away.

Overseas.

Specifically to China Japan.

I think we're nation in trouble book because.

The average person has no influence in Washington.

Washington gave more money for years ago.

-- -- -- -- Then 32 states combined.

We've become one government a big -- Special interest.

Tax code UK read.

A nation that's not productive and quite Frankel.

I don't think it had much to do -- Obama.

I mean I don't think he's been that great a president -- -- that He knows anything about business but I'm not here to fuss at the present.

It's our system it's been since Bill Clinton that we started given these jobs away somebody saw where.

Needs to stand up and say no more here's what I won't.

Fair trade it would be about.

So you are but you haven't been in politics but it's it for twenty years so the question then becomes.

How are you gonna get traction.

And I understand your point.

And people say it all the time about the of the money in the corruption and everything else -- greased palms and everything else you want what they don't do anything I they don't do anything so you're doing something good how are you going to get traction on what you get some money to get some exposure.

Good question.

I mean a million people out of 310.

Million Americans.

I mean one -- -- One million people to stand with me is you know -- web site it's Buddy Roemer dot com.

If I can attract a million people across America who want a president free to leave who want to chase the special interest money out of the room.

Who wanna have -- small business people in the room but we do banking reform.

Who doesn't want the president to go to Wall Street and have a fund raiser at 35000.

Dollars a ticket.

Holds -- -- Goldman Sachs right after they pass a bank reform bill.

That allows too big to fail to stay on the books that doesn't reinstate Glass-Steagall.

And doesn't put a single American to work look.

I'm concerned about America and I love it.

And -- have decided after twenty years of building a billion dollar bank.

Free bank.

A bank that's profitable a bank that took no bailout money I decided you don't maybe this time.

They don't need just another Republican are another Democrat maybe they need a man free to -- that's why I put a hundred dollar limit.

No pac money no super pac money everything fully disclose I know people laugh at that but that's the way out one governor of Louisiana.

The dad -- been there three times never lost an election.

He ended up in the penitentiary He spent sixteen -- and I spent one million and we beat it can be.

Done so.

It is your focus because your Boston today but -- your focus you've been up in New Hampshire.

-- you basically living in New Hampshire now.

Are you betting in the firearm on are you betting the farm on on an outcome in New Hampshire and how high of an outcome to you have to have.

I I don't.

Have a number -- -- but it you know here's the here's the answer.

You ought to pick up the Paper the next morning after the New Hampshire primary in early February of next year and say.

-- that won't -- -- right.

He did better than I expected he's bit less than all the others put together he's bit less than anybody else running He did great.

I need to make -- debate Tom I'll be honest about it in the 21 century one of the things that's changed in the twenty years that have been how.

Is how important these debates are in the primary.

Not just roll -- vs Obama.

That would be a great fat debate out challenge in fact.

But -- -- vs the Republican field.

That would be exciting I need to make that debate.

I haven't figured out how to get -- there I've been in the polls for the first time the last two weeks announced five weeks ago.

As you say New Hampshire is -- I'm putting all of my efforts there if I can slowly rise in the polls.

-- was 1% last week.

I was 2% in one poll and nobody knows me if I can slowly get known.

Through programs like years watch what happens.

Well that's what we're doing we're we want to introduce you to the it to the audience to -- them -- -- to find out more Buddy -- dot com is the website governor.

We wish you well thank you so much for being with us.
