Well one of the things I -- -- help job creation is.

Drilling here in the United States and allowing well our ports to open up.

John -- here with us right now executive director of the port of Corpus Christi authority John I'm glad -- -- thank you competitor believe that you believe what I just said absolutely so tell us what's going on down there.

Well we have a lot going on on.

-- -- were really driven this year in the next few years by exports you mentioned the oil and we have -- for shale and I want to hear from the port.

We're already seeing.

New construction in the port pipelines being brought in to export oil which we haven't done for years.

Construction of new facilities inside the port.

Tremendous job creation throughout south Texas for -- for.

So people understand this is the fifth largest -- in the region in the United States in the United States right now.

More than 402000.

In -- That's a region of more than four and without yes okay so it all consumer -- -- -- so what you're doing is expanding -- Correct and so tell us about that -- -- did.

175000.

Is that cracked.

Citi 5078075.

Million -- latest -- 75 million in next extending ship channel we -- some federal money and southern -- some -- money that we're putting and we just on the ground breaking one out on Monday.

That will extend our channel where we're gonna build a new terminal we're -- that term we already have an option with the US.

Gas company called Cheniere right to build an LNG.

Re gasification plant where they can take -- from -- for shale and export it.

Across the street literally across the street from that terminal.

We will have a major Chinese company called Tianjin pipe company will build -- one point two billion dollar.

Oil and gas pipe manufacturing facility now why -- we exporting this oil -- -- this at home well some of the oil is different.

That I like the refineries and we have three major refineries in corpus and they use heavy oil -- There were the oil coming from -- for share she was very -- -- at so like content say they necessarily can't use it.

And what I say export will exported from the port but -- exported to other refineries in the gulf it won't go offshore.

So that have this it it is also in conjunction with the Panama Canal correct so -- an expansion of the canal as well supposed to be -- 2014 caressing between the two.

That really just opens the region up.

Tremendous opportunity.

I mentioned exports we have had a bit we are we have to leases with coal companies.

Had or dry -- facility to export coal China.

Again China and and Europe or buying US coal and are going to be buying it in large quantities.

Big speech into the canal means that larger ships can get through get back to China.

And be able to take some US exports for change from the United States did you get your act funding for this.

For big -- expansion.

We've been working on that project for over twenty and I bet that's why tell us why that's not a new thing we know we were approved by congress for that project.

In 2007.

So we got the money.

58 million dollars in the budget deal that was finished at the end of April.

There was 58 million dollars still sort it out my know won't know week well for the total project we are but to do the extension.

The way it works with congress on dredging even though it's a federal project we have to put up a match so we're putting up fifteen million dollars rounds of twenty years ago you started this.

Corrected bid for the money know we started -- developing this project but -- takes that long for US ports to expand their channels.

That's how long it takes if you wanna start how -- daddy that is so inefficient if our economy may be but that's what we have to go and what is it what's the holdup is -- congress.

No it's not congress it's just the whole process that set up you have to do economic and environmental studies.

You get that -- -- has to go to congress and has to actually be approved by congress as part of the bill.

If they do that that's -- -- authorizes.

The the project you then have to go get an appropriation so you have to go back to congress and be part of the corps of engineers budget.

How fresh takes a long time for you it's the right now it's not because we're starting my what.

But they after twenty years it's they want -- -- -- I'm I have to -- you create jobs in this process.

We definitely we will be how many signaled -- Well -- looking to terminal itself will have about 15100 jobs.

Battle for the eagle for shale which is not really I can't take credit for developing that that's just that's a a fact of nature and and finally being able to do yeah.

Of the drilling that would that will get it.

If you have a commercial driver's license in Texas you can work.

I was no way you'd -- they are if you drive from Corpus Christi to San Antonio.

The development that you see a long there for eagle for shale is tremendous you can't.

You can't buy a home or rent a room in any of the communities between the two cities really tremendous opportunity.
