-- president Obama's been saying it over and over and everybody needs to pay their fair share.
So we keep asking what is our fair share joining us now -- our lap for economic advisor to President Reagan brought up about -- have got to ask you because they'll be upset if I didn't.
Fair share what sit up -- the average person or the average rich person be paying.
Let me just explain what Obama is saying because it's really very interest -- you think about it He is saying that the half of the population that pays no taxes whatsoever.
Is unfairly burdened by the other half of the population not paying their fair share it's ridiculous.
I mean what you should have as a low rate flat tax across the board we all share this country we all should pay a proportion of our income.
To support the country He is just playing on this stuff and I don't know why frankly -- -- -- -- sell well.
But there He is going -- it needs engaged Warren Buffett in it as well and all this up but it's just a bunch -- well.
You aren't I don't know because size and must play well somewhere because I got to tell you I did -- radio show on Saturday in a guy guy called and and He said He knew He knew that we had a progressive system but He thought that once you hit a million dollars an outcome you would back to 10%.
So lot of people out there that it's sort -- resonate with them.
-- well they don't understand the tax system them that they believe that.
But the truth of the matter is if your income is taxed as ordinary income you get a progressive tax rate in your tax.
At a higher rate the more you make now if you have specialized forms of income like.
He realized capital gains and certain other dividends and stuff like that you get a lower rate but the worst of all is what Warren Buffett gets which is.
Unrealized capital gains which doesn't pay tax at all.
And then He gives it the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Which of the tax free transaction and it never -- taxes.
He pays on the -- gives about a billion and a half dollars a year in the last several years to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
-- that money never gets -- not -- up and is it.
Goes well it -- -- it is ridiculous as I think I think a lot of people beginning to build I don't Warren Buffett is a hypocrite if He really feels that strongly about this who want to set the example simply write a check instead of evading taxes and fighting a big tax bill.
But again I wanna get back to the -- what's fair.
If I'm looking a million dollars a year how much should I pay.
Well you know and a family what you do if you have a shared burden and a family that -- -- pays -- let's say one of the kids out of ten.
Has a real problem -- the other nine get together and try to figure out how to fairly share the burden to help the tenth.
They usually look to their income and what percentage of their income and they all pay according to their ability to pay a flat rate that seems fair to a family.
And I think that's fair to our country to do there should be no people who were an income in this country who don't pay some taxes.
And there should be people who paid make a lot more income should pay more taxes that's for sure.
But proportionately more I don't think so I think that's a good rule flat tax rate on everyone across the board.
A flat to access the window right now.
I'm up for a flat tax when I saw Herman -- proposal I was really really impressed.
I've been impressed by Newt Gingrich's proposal I've been impressed by Huntsman and the goodness gracious Huntsman at a beautiful proposal there and of course Michelle Bachmann is a tax lawyer Rick Perry's proposals -- great.
I think we've got to really wonderful set of candidates here really trying to propose a low rate flat tax to oppose.
This Obama stuff I get.
It's wins her McCain's message to start -- resonate -- Florida straw poll when He cool well that was huge that you had they -- came up what it -- my and I know.
It you gotta to have wonderful what he's doing everyone else is -- -- fell -- -- he's given us something concrete of course you always give you something -- -- -- -- to go well I have done.
Okay great thanks Charles fun to be what if you -- thanks a.
