We would do that President Obama is expected to speak tonight -- the congressional Hispanic caucus gala in Washington DC.

This just the latest effort by this president of boost -- support.

Among key elements of his base.

The latest monthly Gallup poll indicates the president -- the lowest job approval of his presidency in August the president support among minorities sinking to new lows among Hispanics and blacks joining me now Ken Blackwell family research council senior fellow.

Author of the book resurgent.

-- constitutional conservatism can save America and Israel -- take a editor of The Heritage Foundation Spanish language website.

Thank you both for being here and let -- let me start if I -- With that the president at the Hispanic gala tonight.

His his support among.

Hispanics this country it has dropped thirty points Israel.

But this is -- -- it doesn't surprise a little when you think about the Hispanic unemployment rate being at 13%.

This is a top concern for Hispanics and the fact that the president's policies that failed.

Is indication of how is approval ratings Hispanics are and what do you think a well I think you know business the president that came in on a -- of hope and change and He is rapidly moved to.

An assessment of stagnation in hopelessness and and and if He can't get this.

The economy growing again he's going to watch his.

His vote population.

And his -- take the window.

-- a lot of voting populations.

Latinos African Americans.

As well as women and and others.

Well or a -- is a lot of capital Lou yeah I don't know about why you guys in you know the fact of the matter is we're all in this thing together.

I mean go to our web I have an economy.

That is beyond.

Gone to hell and we got a president that is you know walking around waving a document like this in the Rose Garden.

That doesn't have anything to do with restoring prosperity.

Israel it if you're.

I got so if this could this cuts across demographic lines though the economy the way it is it affects all of us.

And that Hispanics.

Like other groups are realizing at the president's policies are simply not working.

And Hispanics I think we're gonna have a tough time keep continue to believe the president's promises.

Can't get you know capital capital seeks the path of least resistance in greatest opportunity we have -- anti capital president.

And so there's no should be no surprise as to why investment is now.

And while there is no economic expansion and job creation.

What it is frustrating talking with business leaders talking with political leaders congressman senators.

Not the president I don't know why doesn't wanna come on the broadcast for we're gonna sort that out.

But for there to be such -- absence of energetic positive leadership right now in this country.

Emanating from business or academia I mean I'll take it from any quarter.

Or or from this White House.

What what look will look -- here here's here's the guy who doesn't understand.

Why America is an exceptional nation.

That is one because we have put an emphasis on limiting government and optimizing individual responsibility.

And and freedom.

And there's no way that you can turn this economy around.

If in fact you'd think that growing very big central government.

And that that spins like a drunken seller is the way to grow the economy it just won't war.

And they've been found that out increase they found that out in Spain and this president just think it's a joke.

-- -- -- -- we talk about the size of entitlements as we talk about the size of our debt and our deficits and that and the massive missions.

Taken on by the federal government.

Is it realistic for us to expect.

Soon.

-- a roll back in the size of government the spending of government and its continued swapping.

A private capital and private opportunity in this account.

Always absolutely have to think where it tipping -- in our country's history.

And it a look at think for Hispanics what what they need to realize I I count myself one of them.

Is that what this country's exceptional for reason we came to this country for the economic opportunities and economic freedoms this country has and we have to.

Sustain that for future generations and that's why I think this debate is so critical right.

Israel thank you very much can think -- great to see you both agree with him from.
