Cents joining me now Walid -- Middle Eastern affairs and global terrorism professor -- is also a Fox News terrorism analyst.

KT McFarland Fox News contributor and former deputy defence secretary and retired colonel secret blatant.

US air force and -- to military intelligence officer welcome to you all KT I wanna start with you.

At this ten year anniversary.

What are you thinking about and do you feel safer today than you have.

At any time in the past decade.

You know I mean I'm more anxious because I know what the threats are and I don't think that -- have gone away I think they've changed.

But I actually am much more confident because I look around at my country.

And say what -- you know we've really responded we were attacked ten years ago out of the blue nobody knew what was happening.

And we handle that well and we have put in place an infrastructure.

To protect us down the road so -- I think I do feel better and I also feel better because I think an awful lot more Americans feel.

Part of this that they've got -- me in this they've got skin in the game.

So I think what Americans get together gonna it is about -- bank Washington notwithstanding.

Well -- as usual I agree with -- -- great response.

Only I want to turn to you for just a second.

Can't Americans feel assured at this point.

That this kind of tragedy can't happen again.

Now the short answer is no.

But the good and some long term answer is that we are prepared much better prepared.

We have a public and that's the most important investment who have.

Which is different from the public on -- eleven.

Thanks to the 9/11 commission questioning about why we didn't know why when we not educated about it now we have a public that is ready for that what we need to have.

Is -- strategy is a policy that the government is gonna employ.

So that we won't be celebrating another ten years from now another tenth anniversary and -- got -- in the wrong that's what we need to go.

Her right.

Colonel a latent -- year oh you know you look back and let me tell you know.

Our forces have done a fantastic job taking care that's the -- what are your reflections tonight.

Well Jerry it's you one of those days 9/11 is one of those moments in history when everybody knows exactly where they were at that point in time.

And think it is it true reflection as to what we -- and -- have said.

Of our ability to actually pull together and make something work and from an intelligence perspective and a military perspective.

The United States has done -- tremendous job a significant job.

In making sure that our country is safer than it has ever been before.

Doesn't mean that things won't happen but it does mean that we are better prepared and also means that we will be better able to respond to any future attacks of that type.

I would hope there will be none but at least we're ready to respond to them and we have the wherewithal both -- -- educational stand book trading standpoint to me or.

-- Earlier today.

-- secretary of state Hillary Clinton.

Spoke with -- very on Fox Business sad news Cheryl Casone here's what Hillary had to say.

We finally got -- lot and we got it because we never gave up and we never said well you know that was yesterday's news now.

You attack us we're gonna get you so I guess my view on this is -- made improvements.

What I worry about is is is our country needs -- sort of stay in the game we need to be on our toes we need to.

Be ready to do what's necessary to have it get the economy going again and obviously the president laid out some you know very important ideas last night we need to be.

Aware the fact that our leadership our ability to respond and defend ourselves really starts right here.

Are right slowly and -- to you how do you respond to that what Hillary Clinton has to say that she ever right.

Well first -- -- absolutely that they're getting bin Laden is really an American act of justice not the strategic value of getting -- Bob -- is something -- need to debate and discuss.

In this sense as that al-Qaeda is omnipresent in Pakistan and Afghanistan has grown into Yemen so -- -- -- -- -- have -- North Africa.

Has cells inside Europe inside India and of course we know about the homegrown jihadist growing number.

Terrorists inside the United States so symbolically absolutely we got bin Laden now strategically speaking we need to have upon with -- they'll make sure.

To stop the bigger.

-- I'm -- which is not the third.
