September all right the Republican congresswoman Cynthia -- from -- -- from Wyoming.
Live with us now from Capitol Hill congresswoman always a pleasure to have you back the president's -- speech tomorrow -- Do you think from what we know what we think it's gonna contain do you think is worthy of a joint session of congress.
-- from what we think it's going to contain -- not because it's more of the same and if we keep doing what we're doing we're gonna keep getting what we're getting.
Which is no response.
From our economy and our jobs numbers we need to go bald we need to be talking about entitlement reform and tax reform.
Well okay now the measures that the president is gonna put -- would have to be voted on by U.
In the House of Representatives.
Vote for example -- you put that to go along with extending unemployment benefits for you.
As a standalone -- now.
I think it's -- -- important that we.
Get away from using -- short term fixes for what we know with a long term problem these types of short term fixes have not worked in the past and there's no reason to believe they're going to work in the future how about fifty billion dollars worth of infrastructure spending.
You go without.
Well I would go with the type of needs that that are.
A result of the weather catastrophes we've had in this country we're going to have to help states that were hit so hard by hurricanes and fires and other weather calamities.
But.
Fifty billion once again that's a short term fix if it's not hard.
Response to our weather patterns.
It's just not enough -- Did do you think that yield perhaps being set off.
Because you're not enthusiastic about many of the measures in this package.
Likely to be rejected some of my at least to some in the House of Representatives so do you think you're being set up so that the president's -- since.
I had a plan I was gonna create jobs and those what it Republicans that would let me do it.
Well it that's a possibility but.
The president -- congress have an obligation to respond to what we heard during the August work period at home.
Which is we've got to work together to come up with major reforms to programs like entitlement and -- tax code.
And the way we do budgets in this country my goodness.
If we.
Do anything less week meaning congress and the president will be failing the American people so I believe that what we know about it.
His proposals.
Thus far indicate that he's willing to accept that type of failure.
I understand that one senator and to congress -- will not be that I take it you will be that tomorrow correct.
I will be there it it is in my opinion necessary for us to listen to what the president has to say reflect on it in a intelligent manner.
And then respond.
But I'm hopeful that he's going to be more bold tomorrow night then the early indications about his speech indicate He will be.
Congresswoman Cynthia -- Republican Wyoming always a pleasure thanks for joining us him and appreciate it.
Hey you're honor roll this morning I was listening to you earlier talking about your gold in your currencies like I think you have a little too much coffee this morning Stuart.
I'm kind of -- and don't mean yeah I thought I -- -- A -- on the moment unfortunately my -- is rolling downhill -- it is not -- about this morning.
Maybe go to more comments like that's labeled the next week -- -- thank you gotta -- endless -- they liked it.
Nicole -- with Yahoo!.
Japan out my hand -- yeah.
