-- -- -- -- I'm just a little building -- our I think championship.
I -- fox.
Having to seven year broke cost agreement that will kick off in January we welcome now Dana White president of the UFC data congratulations.
Thank you huge development for you what is the appeal.
But the Ultimate Fighting Championship what is it that that generate such support.
Well you know obviously on the promoter some of the solid and promoting and bullet and I'm and anybody who's ever been to one of our events that is the most exciting -- sporting event you'll -- -- And obviously it resonates very well with that eighteen to 34 year old demographic and I was that -- just talk and -- -- here and I was saying we have fight this weekend result it.
We've we've we did a 141000 seat arena sold out minutes 350000.
People were looking for tickets.
And forty million people watch this fight this weekend in Brazil.
But did Dana have you done -- and I I've said when -- about your asset.
We NASCAR on fox that you have stayed on -- both liked my world doesn't get better than that and got -- -- giving my.
Given myself -- you should be afraid.
I would AM but -- you really did you really built this business in ten years and it's astonishing.
To think how USC is now just part of the fabric of sports in this country -- ten years ago it just.
But I wanna know how you did that -- -- so particularly as boxing has been in decline right now all.
Always believed in the sport that the difference is that the with a lot of us.
That statements about the UFC that weren't true.
And basically what we did is we went -- ran toward regulation that's -- regulated by all the athletic commissions yep and you know once we did that started to put on the live -- most of these guys that fight the FC graduate from college guys have college degrees -- incredible athletes think about that's.
They have to be not only well versed in and boxing kick boxing we Thai wrestling in jujitsu.
But on top of that they still have to do their cardiovascular in the weight training these guys are incredible -- great and it right now we're not 155.
Different countries.
Including two different languages in over a half a billion homes worldwide on television.
So it is the fastest growing sport in the world.
Unbelievable.
So it's not just two guys entering beaten heck -- of each -- that there's a lot more to it the right.
Now these guys are very intelligent guys that they're incredible athletes and you know that.
The thing is when we got into this thing -- I truly believe that that fighting.
You know what I think about the NFL how big -- -- here in the United States that have spent billions of dollars trying to break into and other countries but.
People didn't grow planet they didn't know the rules that are not best in the teams.
I don't care what holy war what country come from or what language you speak we're all human beings -- in our DNA -- get.
It's not basic in us data some more so than other side -- I can attest that that -- -- always -- about government buying it again from Defcon five I didn't have -- -- -- yeah.
I don't death benefit of bankers stuff -- push much I can relate to that that you face think the consequences of -- And I mean it it is what it is that we've just we really haven't what we we we really don't face that and more people don't.
When we first bought the UFC believes that have that stigma attached to it but we've really squashed that.
There's never been a death or serious injury and the almost eighteen years.
Of the UFC cheerleading can't say that -- you know -- can't say that.
If there's never been a death or serious injury this thing is regulated.
By the athletic commission just like boxing is and is the very safe sport -- -- the right way.
Still pretty bloody those.
Federal that would asset as as well yeah guys get cut -- and things like that but.
You know it has -- what you really have are yet to guys right train their whole life in mixed martial arts and they go out to -- -- -- the -- -- and I'm on that note this has really become the new martial art.
We are going up prepares to -- and and the Taekwondo karate this as the new martial -- the children taking.
Women -- -- girlfriend talkback MMI all the time and then you know yachts that's what they -- that's what they want to it is you do martial art.
Well congratulations again -- seven year deal with fox great to have you -- -- thank you thanks for coming in welcome to.
I -- -- Baghdad thank you appreciate it and I'll be watching -- -- -- -- you daylight the president.
