Still -- -- said Texas still the same -- President Obama is ready to follow through a lot of promise to revisit tax hikes and house majority leader.
Barricaded telling me moments ago that won't fly -- Republicans.
Well there clearly are two different world views at work here there's no question I mean there are.
Those and those Saad Al the president and many and his party believe that we need to raise taxes right now.
And if we're gonna cut and they think necessary cuts they've refused to do that without raising taxes.
It's would you open some regret any really speak -- -- it was in the early part of the discussions the talk was -- 800 billion dollars in revenues were considered.
That the president we're told wanted to add to that all that -- deal done.
Everyone wants -- Now there was never any agreement that we were going to accept our new taxes time and so what is measured disclosing what it all -- annoying well you know I I think that what the what all of us would says we need tax reform we need to close the loopholes simplify the -- -- down rates for everybody.
The problem is President Obama has consistently said we need to raise taxes and it's not just through new growth in this economy.
And I can tell you having sat through almost three months of discussions.
On these on this issue with the administration.
There it is their position that we need to impose higher taxes.
On many in the small businesses in this country does.
And give up on and He said again today He said He -- He said it when communities it right before He signed what would would -- an -- him up but.
So he's not given up that hunt.
What you know and you have to ask me what what what is the economic theory.
That validates.
A position that says you should impose higher taxes right now when you have not point 2% unemployment that's the official rate.
Where you have terrible.
Job -- job numbers but manufacturing numbers you have these new consumer spending numbers that are down.
And no doubt bullies are slow what do you ever be in the position congressman or a situation which you would envision.
Revenues being on the table because they inevitably will come up in November December when this twelve person committee has to make recommendations.
Well first of all revenues should come from growth in the economy and that's why we are advocating a growth agenda.
To make sure people and give back to work small businesses and entrepreneurs give back in the game.
But as far as revenue is a concern you're the president -- talk about the shining balls of millionaires billionaires in -- dollars.
I don't think any of us wanna defend that position that we're not for trying to close some of those loopholes.
But what I've always said is if you're gonna plug those loopholes let's make progress towards reform.
Let's give some credit towards corporate rate reduction -- can actually help the businesses who -- gonna.
You're not -- -- -- yesterday and it has invaded Arizona and jet owners just as a standard -- it doesn't make it's it doesn't make any economic excess and again it's it's somehow there is some.
Other reason that they continue to promote that maybe makes for good politics but what we're about is trying to say we've got to focus on the real problem and that is a lack of jobs.
And we gotta get this we got to get people back to work.
And the I mean you look at it I mean you look at the policies whether it is the NLRB policy is going on whether it is the SEC.
Whether is the EPA under this administration.
The president's team really seem to be in over their head.
When it comes to trying to arrive at solutions to -- -- the business woes in this country TSA is in over the -- births are smart.
Well I wish him happy birthday you know and and again I I think that.
All of us on personal level respect the person it's the policy still like him.
Now I can't do I think He is come -- in historic figure I mean He is a smart guy.
And I'm -- and I just differ on policy do you -- wanna be president.
If I tell you one thing -- -- That you know my wife would hang me up at an earlier not said anything other than that -- Arnett.
Ideally suited for a.
