Marsha Williams good morning mr.

I mean so those other places they includes Mars or something that -- from what else -- you doing now what else that might do and not to -- column for -- -- you know the newspaper on Capitol Hill are.

And then I -- for our.

Much loved foxnews.com.

In addition to working for.

Fox News Channel as a political analyst honestly explain.

The privilege crimes -- For those who -- -- -- just a talk to him.

In the -- on David one analyst so you're from Washington Post for -- tolerant.

Oh at 23 years there were who are simple start and you know this came up this morning we were talking to someone about Ronald Reagan.

And they were saying Ronald Reagan such and I -- and I said yes you looked you know what you know that old line.

That Lloyd Bentsen used against Dan Quayle -- new Jack Kennedy and you're no Jack well like I said you know what.

I knew Ronald Reagan -- used to carver Ronald Reagan for the Washington Post.

And I can tell you that a lot of these Tea Party types they would think that Ronald Reagan.

Was some really delivered -- because I remember that Reagan used to be guy who'd make compromise would make deals.

He certainly was a guy who raise the debt ceiling raise taxes.

But they I think they wouldn't believe that given the way they talk about Reagan -- -- While not a -- some.

Employer and -- so yeah.

It's kind of semi and Douglas Brinkley.

Just Nancy Reagan -- -- -- I had those and remove -- Reagan's diaries are.

Yeah exactly right picks him and he's pretty much.

All of their own and left side I'll.

But it picked up by how surprised.

He was and everyone else.

-- -- -- fact how law and essence now.

How -- Motto during brilliance of stressed Ronald Reagan months hello.

-- no question that you know I think part of Reagan's brilliance.

Was that He actually and this this fits with that the heat of the -- Ronald Reagan listen to people judge people.

Understood what people want it in other -- -- human motivation and could tell exactly what you were up to I think we know some people like that who run this company but.

They are masterful judges of other human beings and exactly where you gotta go with them who you can have a drink -- -- you can tell a dirty joke with and realize -- You know what.

We can work in this -- so we both come out a win win situation Reagan was a master of that any new when the push it to remember the air traffic controllers and pushed that deal.

Hey wasn't He wasn't -- -- smarter -- and what does not an off.

Around one cars and answer reduce astrology time and -- Think -- yes they don't have don't know what to make of and I kind of yet people who are -- Obama I mean -- -- around they don't have the reality.

Tell me about -- Well you know I'm so glad that you are here to talk with me about it because I think that you understand.

That in this country too often now you can't say anything without people calling you names trying to put you down I think people who some -- it -- haters with.

They use what you say against you in a in a way that I think stifles honest debate in the country.

You know recently here in New York Tony Kushner -- the playwright.

He's -- guy who is a big supporter of Israel but then one other.

Members of -- -- -- some college it wanted to give an honorary degree heard that He had some criticism of Israeli policy and certainly Tony Kushner was having his -- degree taken away from them.

No explanation no understanding and then finally there was some blowback and -- that ways they can you can't do that we and that's clearly cushioned the supporter bishop.

But I think this this extends across the board now I mean.

You can't say what's.

On your mind in this country without risk of people telling you shut up you shouldn't say it.

You're not a good Republican if you think that some tax hikes might be part of the deal united good democratic you're talking about.

The need for entitlement cuts in order to bring down the deficit.

All these people say -- we're serious politicians we're the ones who really care about the people they can't even make a deal they are so.

Intractable.

Locked up -- it's just a shame and and get.

It reflects I think something of -- culture at this moment we just don't talk to each other we don't listen.

But -- -- low mr.

chancellor almost anything you want this you're a liberal it's about Republicans or about white Christian.

Oregon and anybody else that you're a liberal I mean for example of dumpster Norma huge round -- of and I thought it was funny.

But when you get a Herman came thing.

And He -- He employed and Amos and Andy dialect.

They're making fun of Herman -- what's rose alone I sought.

Totally appropriate and does it does all kinds of dialects and so -- but -- but John had they couldn't do that.

No absolutely because again.

I think that the critics the people who are looking for a reason.

To take action on Hannity would immediately -- race.

And you'll notice that people.

And people some people on the right then went after John Stewart because the -- throughout if somebody in the right that it is -- and He did it.

And so they want -- went after Stewart to illustrate the hypocrisy in now.

When in fact I think you're exactly on target you know what Jon Stewart.

Was not having fun here yeah what's the you -- you can't make fun of public figures and -- or racism about.

Oh you're a bad guy your racist let.

Let me just tell you something.

People on all sides of this deal make fun of each other and it doesn't have to be malicious sometimes you know you can make fun of Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson and it can be just -- -- -- you better believe.

Black people do it.

Now hello -- -- my program.

-- I don't I don't.
