Is you know fair deal for both sides and -- how we're we're still working.
Todd what are your thoughts on a fair deal on both sides are we there.
I mean and scum like Jason dissent and everything I'm hearing I think they're they're working through and I think they're close I don't think it's a matter went or if it's a matter of -- and I think it is probably in -- universe is later.
And do you think.
You know the biggest thing without getting into the specifics with some -- has developed a love -- nemesis -- -- that a fair deal.
From both sides and to make this thing work the way exposed -- -- And I hope it gets done so we can just keep -- at the season on time as usual.
I can't think I am interested in details what about the deal as it -- cans.
Has a little concern because I -- get us I don't know if I'm buying your optimism in -- excitement to get don't again.
-- I'm billionaire -- I'm very excited.
But the deadline that the the owners put down that's on because that's that's the owners' deadline.
We don't have a deadline we're working you know towards a goal and now when we get there then then will be excited and everybody will be ready to put.
Well Todd -- to the compromise come.
-- I know unfortunately I as as an agent you get bits and pieces through year through the through the former union or through player reps and -- at at the end of the day you know there's a lot of compromise -- -- there's things like the rookie wage scale that have been discussed I mean there's.
-- so many different pieces and obviously there's more publicized pieces then.
And some other parts but at the end of the day.
It could happen for me as an agent and it for a lot of players there's so much work to be done once it's agreed upon -- the US 495 free agents that are available.
-- -- so that's free agency got teams' gonna have to.
You know get their salary cap adjusted to fit with what the new rules are agents gonna have to learn the new rules -- have to learn the new rules they have undrafted players I have to be signed right draft picks that have to be -- I -- a lot of work.
How many rings almost 500 players -- of how you going to deal with it it.
Yet rated now that it sound like that's unprecedented.
Yeah not top 500 for me and a is it as much as I wish it was it's.
It's in a total market -- 495 players from what I'm hearing and up 34% other must suppose at least starters but.
I do have a more than a handful of guys -- we're prepared we've done our research and were ready to go when when everyone agrees on the deal and everyone gives the Green light will be ready to go.
And Jason you ready to -- Well you know to speak of the optimism.
-- a free -- My house is packed up and boxes right now so anything that would would say hey I'm I'm very optimistic in the near future.
So I'm definitely ready this is started how do you want this to sort out what you wanna play then this coming season.
-- my biggest thing is I -- plan that team first that the wants me and has been let me rush to quarterback but past that.
Means -- All right I wanna ask you about the retired players there was lot of question about their pensions and benefits.
How does this settlement impact them.
I mean again the details haven't been revealed yet so it's again as much as I'd love to give -- answer and and perhaps Jason might know more than I do.
-- all I do know is everything I've been told is that.
The retired players are not going to be holding up any sort of deal so whenever they're gonna be getting in whatever that piece of that plan is.
Suppose there's going to be a fair deal and -- something that's that perhaps it absolutely has kept the retired players.
In the forefront of this conversation as well because mean the whole thing is is about the past players the president players in the future players and that's what the hopes of this whole agreements going to be at that you know an agreement for ten years it's.
Never gonna hopefully have to have any issues that arise between now and then -- have to worry about any work stoppages so I'm hopeful that again the past the present and future players are all taking care -- this.
-- Jason any word on the past players or even current players such as yourself what's the buzz -- you are talking about.
Now we we feel the same way speaking as the current players -- those older the guys retired guys that -- on the foundation for us I mean.
We're definitely on board and making sure it's fair deal for everybody.
There they're the ones that you know -- build this league so.
We're definitely gonna do we can do to -- them.
