Fox Business alert Minnesota's to a government shutdown may be nearing an end state democratic governor saying.

He is condition really open to GOP budget proposal that would break the fiscal standstill.

And that shut down wreaking havoc for businesses across the state Erik Forsberg owner of the ugly mug bar and restaurant in Minneapolis says -- deal couldn't come sooner Eric to.

So how -- business I can't imagine how challenging it must have been previous last couple of weeks.

It's -- it's been had more than a challenge to -- list.

I mean so you've -- have as buyers -- right city can purchase your liquor did that expire on you mean.

Give us a sense of what you had to go through these last few weeks.

Well.

The thing is that the buyers card is actually there there's a few people on different sides of -- and as it affected and my personal business was that might expired in June 30.

However knowing that that was coming and expiration renewed life as I always do every year just like we do -- liquor licenses there.

And I drove directly to the office kind of forcing that we are gonna have a government shut down and I thought -- probably better get in there and make sure that I -- -- receipt in hand.

And that gave them my money and they gave me -- -- and I left happy and there was an and so the sixth of July that I had down.

When in my vendors come -- and say hey we're gonna do about your license because and hyperion has said.

-- quit because innocent -- -- year manufacturers right didn't pay very licensing fees so you are on the ball.

Doing this -- time but I mean what was there enough supply for you with that an issue that you can get ten -- call -- the store shelves.

No actually bet that was an issue at the time that initiatives only come up recently and it's coming.

-- -- it's that that this whole issue is sort of snowballing right now.

But there's talk the deal I mean how optimistic are you that the government will re -- go back to business as usual.

You know it's interesting looking at the -- it is put together.

I am I and fairly optimistic at this point that they're gonna bring something.

You know as of yesterday there is really no talks at all.

They had met twice at that point I believe for less than -- half hour and each time -- really know and and offered anything.

Now that that governor Dayton is actually.

Speaking and saying hey you know what we need to work this out.

I I do you foresee that something's gonna at least have some movement moving forward before that they were actually talking that this thing could go on till the end of the year.

I mean where you forecasting a loss in business because of this if it did go on as you're saying for at least here in how much would that hurt you would you have ultimately had to shut down.

Ultimately we would have to shut down I -- a restaurant as well so we would try to survive as long as we could on our food sales and -- you know exactly what we can -- it.

We can only do so much a case of ugly mug restaurant and bar is -- about -- are drinking device or is it about.

How you look.

What's well you know I'd wanted to call -- -- -- that name is already taken so I want to the next best thing that's going to hurt our air for good luck to you thanks for sharing your story airing Forsberg is the owner -- -- a high bar restaurant in Minneapolis.
