Little technology now the Seagate gold -- satellite.
Since this is John hard drive where users can solve their data without overloading your your iPad or whatever tablet device you path while mosque targets their personal -- Columnist at the Wall Street Journal he looked at -- -- first and foremost what parts great see you that's right.
Great to see you guys next.
How necessary.
For people who used tablets how unnecessary.
And these external hard -- I don't think it's necessary for most average -- people this is really for somebody that has a large.
Media collection or perhaps.
Never wants to be with out.
A business document.
And yet they've kind of migrated a lot of their laptop use over to.
The iPad or one of the other -- tablets and that and think that the cool thing about it is it is an external hard drive if it does have 500 gigabytes which is a lot.
Of capacity -- hope 300 high definition movies for instance.
But it it it doesn't its wireless it doesn't plug into the iPad.
Is it you sets of its own little special Wi-Fi network and streams.
Music photos.
Video.
Documents whatever.
Over the iPad where they can be viewed or played or open to or or whatever and it's battery powered so even carried around with you.
Lot of this sounds -- as you say you get a lot of storage is set of I guess on the tablet -- -- 32 or 64 gigabytes to get 500 here you -- 200 bucks to get it.
But in your column you say that this device needs work so what's wrong with a.
Well it's I found a few problems one is it just -- designed limitation.
Because it uses a Wi-Fi network guys.
When you.
Select that network on your iPad instead about regular network you're cut off from the Internet.
It doesn't have built into it it kind of simultaneous connection the Internet so.
It's an either or either your using this device -- on the Internet can't -- both.
In addition there is an -- on the iPad there's one coming for android.
And the -- it looks very clean and and an attractive and well organized but.
It has some.
I thought I thought sort of just.
Strange limitations like -- make it -- it doesn't have a simple way to do photo slide shows or music play lists and there's a a bunch of things like that which I think they can fix and they really need to do little.
-- for work on it but you could buy it today and it would actually perform its basic functions but it's not small -- Right I mean it's OK but it's not.
Right -- that's a very at and that's why you're so good -- and that's a perfect way to put it it's okay should but it's not tiny it's you know it's about.
-- -- I remember correctly.
Little under five inches long and maybe three and a half inches wide and may be getting -- slightly off and it's little more than half an inch thick.
Or I'm sorry ways -- more than half a pound so.
-- it's not hard to carry around but it's another thing to carry around it if that's what you want to do with it you would like ideally to get 500 gigabytes.
Into something that is light.
Can go easily into a small purse or pocket right.
But.
That in you could with Flash Memory theoretically do that but it would cost a lot and it was cheap to do that.
-- apple and Motorola and -- as Samsung and everyone else it makes tablets we putting those into the tablets themselves.
-- evacuate our -- -- -- useful maybe for some people but still some some issues Walt Mossberg always good to see we'll talk against him.
They care about law and great to see you as always so we're talking about.
