President Obama is in full long campaign mode and the Democrats only strategy is to discredit any GOP challenger.
The Republicans have no clear front runner for 2012 as of now.
Bring in called -- a former advisor to President Bush live -- us from Texas -- -- the program.
Stuart thanks for having his what I'm -- -- President Obama is going full tilt negative.
He can't run on his record he has to attack the Republicans and that's exactly what he's doing I'm sure you and I agree on maps where we may disciplinary.
Is that I think that may be that could be a winning strategy for President Obama one side.
Well I said two weeks ago my Wall Street Journal column exactly that the President Obama had decided many strategic decision to go thermonuclear on his Republican opponents because he could defend his records there's policies.
But I said last week -- my Wall Street Journal column that one of the ways Republicans could lose.
Is to fail to respond to those attacks president is going to be running in my opinion the most negative reelection campaign ever mounted by chief executive.
And Republicans had better take it seriously when he comes -- term they need to find a way to respond and turn the issue back on President Obama.
I don't think that they've had a particularly strong response to the president's coaching tax increases plugging loopholes tax million as -- billion us.
Doesn't seem to me like the Republicans have come back really strongly.
To go after -- point of view you think.
Well you know and I think that's a fair of fair argument but on the other hand I'm not certain how credible it is when the president stands up and says six times during a news conference.
We've got to do something about these millionaires and billionaires.
And their corporate jets and the press afterwards does a pretty fair job of -- women -- -- That tax that -- that that accelerated depreciation provision you supported it.
And it would only generate three billion dollars over a decade how serious really are you -- -- I think.
-- the president came out of that -- a net loser I do think Republicans are doing a better job.
Particularly over the last couple weeks and I have to tip my hat to Mitt Romney.
In pointing to the failure of the president's policies in creating jobs and prosperity and economic growth I thought it was a really nifty moves when.
Mitt Romney went to the same Allentown Pennsylvania factory the President Obama had gone to to hurled his stimulus package which in the subsequent months has shut down -- -- -- -- workers I think governor Rick Perry of Texas I think he's running I think he's raising a lot of money and this some buzz around him.
And I think he's going to run all his economic record for the state of Texas -- -- site.
Yeah.
Well I think you're right that he is going to run he's not yet become a candidate -- filed a committee so he legally cannot raise any money for his presidential.
For presidential campaign we've we will know he's a presidential candidate when he files either an exploratory committee.
Or his -- -- -- presidential candidate with the FEC but so far he hasn't but look this is going to be one of the big tests and -- comes from a big state Texas.
You see the state capital behind me -- governor -- there on the second floor I suspect today.
Maybe it would doing a little light work as he had back surgery last Friday.
But it's you know this is a big state with nearly 24 million people.
And if you're the governor of the state you have the capacity to go out and raise a lot of money from people will.
We'll see how much he does I suspect because he enters the race will get a clue -- if they began sort of drawn attention to big fund raising events that they have.
As Mitt Romney did earlier this year when you've got the ten million dollars -- the pledges at the Las Vegas.
