Service Employees International Union worker and Sacramento is taking -- union to court.

She's demanding the SC -- release their financial records to show how -- union dues are being spent.

She's also tried to take matters into our own hands confronting union leaders about how they were counting ballots.

We contacted the FC -- for response and our calls were not returned.

But -- allay some parents that lawsuit brought on by the SE -- U member and helped -- to form the group helped save our state dot com.

And David mead president and CEO of executive management services knows firsthand what it's like.

To take issue with the union is also the author of the -- at my doorstep protecting employee right.

Eric I wanna start with you now I know you are.

Part of a group it's your friend who filed the complaints correct.

Yes because she is the SAU member.

Right and -- what you are paying member as well cracked.

Yes there is to separate types of employee -- there's a fair share -- -- and union in the union member in the union members.

Being a member is an elective thing where you pay like -- extra dollar something a month and you get.

To vote and you get like a teacher and there is little extra perks OK so -- and I can't there be paired.

You don't get the -- -- I'm a fair share -- now on I don't know part I -- get that I am an -- under -- contract.

So different.

Complaint letters go back and forth between attorneys she asked to see documents and they talent that on a specific -- she can go see them.

But she must sign a confidentiality agreement.

Correct she did not sign.

Now no they didn't want to discuss what she saw.

So as a result she is not seen the financial records of the SE I U cracked.

Now they only thing we've seen as a very of -- heated and very bland.

Tight print on paper it doesn't say anything it's a bunch of abbreviations with dollar signs next to it.

That's why we had the meeting with the secretary treasure.

And that keep the council also sat in and we asked them with the abbreviations -- about with the you know where the money's for going to jail.

And and in our questioning we just upset them a lot and they cases all the building.

OK so that.

David I know you have firsthand experience with these guys they have -- your employees in the past and you beat them -- -- SCI you to court.

And beat them you pulled in that National Labor Relations Board to prove that the SE I U was basically -- being a big -- Well that's right this you really doesn't have the employer's best imports interest in mind.

There sole purpose is to raise dues so they can use -- for their political campaigns and the other dinosaur reserves are trying to survive and I wanna give money anyway they can they -- -- out the employees union dues.

So do you think Erika and her friend are being misrepresented here that they should be able to see the financial records of the SE -- U.

I absolutely because unions when there initially found -- -- for the people.

To help the membership and help them grow training program safety programs those type of things and they've gotten away from that unfortunately -- and now it's all about the big labor bosses.

And continue in -- lifestyles.

Calling on an audit though Erica is I mean it's big -- you know this is it foundation -- they collect their money they keep it.

They don't really have to step to allow you to see this kind of stuff you choose to be -- -- you're not being forced to be a member.

You can argue -- say you're subjected to their rules.

You cut as a number.

And as a hedge your toddler parenting but your -- she is an ever.

So maybe she should just do -- -- if she chooses to be -- members she chooses it except the way they choose to spend their money.

Well we have better ideas we think the union -- should be for the union members and not for political campaigning we don't need to bribe politicians.

That's our DO David is not know what the unions have been doing for centuries now.

Buying politicians.

It was yes and no there's a lot of good trade unions out there that really do a good job reference represented membership while.

However one thing that you have to understand that he even though.

These ladies are union members in a lot of cases they don't have a choice whether they want to be part of the union -- not in other words there's not right to work laws where they can opt out of I'd like to.

And in our case in the midwest.

They did not want to give our people -- vote to be part of the union and they want to eliminate the secret ballot election.

By -- signing -- neutrality agreement.

And that would have taken away disagree about election and -- a gag order on me and I don't would have had to give my.

List of all my employees and their home address -- of the union.

So they could go out and foursome assign unique -- and and that's a problem you know people need free choice and they need to know where their monies are -- And so the answer then here is what Erica are you trying to just.

Abolish the SE -- U altogether because David makes a great point unfortunately you don't have a choice in some of these states you have to join these unions.

That's how it is where I work we don't have a choice but to be a part of the union.

There is such thing as a political objector letter or not germane letter.

That allows us to reduce the -- the fees that we pay to only -- amount.

Allocated to cover our representation -- -- up about 3000 members so far signed in the last month.

You know our goal is just steel and -- hold our union accountable -- -- transparency for the members that's what we really want.

Right and that's certainly what David did his book is the devil -- my doorstep.

Erica David thank you both for -- hasn't given up by the good -- Thank you --
