Thousands of policemen descending upon violent demonstrators and -- today with tear gas and stun grenades.

They're protesting -- country's latest cost cutting package in just a few hours reasons government will begin voting on a forty billion dollar austerity package.

Greece's prime minister says this is the only way to get Greece's fiscal house in order and -- -- next bail out.

Our freedom fighters are wondering would have been better -- defaulted on its debt obligations.

Here to discuss our Fox Business -- -- my colleague Lori Rothman.

Movement visit lab co-founder cell phone and Independent Institute senior fellow then I'll bet about a -- would -- -- -- in my mind it seems -- -- in Greece might have a legitimate point get out of -- Bring back their own currency and then strike a tougher bargain what do you think.

Yet.

Listen I think that the protesters are -- it is Greece fundamentally -- to slash its budget they're reckless spending is what got it got all built -- things out of control in the first place.

But they shouldn't -- -- that what we're gonna cut the spending so that we can get a bailout from the IMF and that the European Union we don't wanna be doing that bail -- just promote more bailouts in the future.

Instead may be a default would be better here but still coupled with the real -- -- I got to tell you it to me it's it's.

It's almost as applicable that that.

That these people are riding in the streets I mean they've they've lived beyond their means they've squandered incredible legacies and they're getting bailed out by -- hard work and Germans what are they complaining about.

Wait a second -- so -- what the government did in borrowing irresponsibly.

Incidentally at the at the pleasure of the banks which were happy to lend -- money in trying turn a profit.

Has nothing to do with the people of Greece who are suffering under 16% unemployment and now -- government's gonna try and cut.

150000.

More jobs raise taxes on the poorest Greeks also -- so -- about banks can take all the gain and they can suffer more than paying wherever.

I read -- word here at Silas at fifty can retire and in Greece that's that's suffering in my book no but what work.

Well realistically store option to voters coming in a few hours they can say you know what will go to our own Neil -- was on our show today the market strategist at these -- peak.

This ridiculous because they're -- testing.

People in -- higher euros and it's trying to help that.

So you know probably can't let Greece default because you've got the Euro currency issue and if you let the currency default.

You risk -- systemic problem contagion crashing whole currency in the eurozone.

-- -- certainly -- he's got a very point in another words were also bailing out banks as well as -- -- exposure it's uncertain how much banking and insurance company exposure there is but.

There's liability there just a third option here -- a number of economists are recommended which is to restructure the debt have the banks take a write down take a haircut.

Which is even when Germany is calling for rather than these austerity measures which we should note -- pushed in the UK and they haven't worked they've sent their economy.

-- -- been made a great point though they have to take a haircut no matter what but I wanted to shift gears a little big guys because this week.

The Supreme Court agreed to hear a case in its next term.

To decide whether the Federal Communications Commission has the -- constitutional.

Authority to ban broadcasts of nudity.

-- profanity.

At a time of day when kids are likely to be tuning and now -- -- closer Fox Broadcast is the defendant in the case.

Fox is a division of those -- which also owns the Fox Business Network.

But my question for our freedom fighters this should have -- up to parents to keep tabs all of what their kids watch and I've got to ask you first -- Or both -- actually stallion night and the fact is yes it is up to us because the fact is.

It doesn't matter what the government says kids are going to -- which don't want and this year here you've heard about no matter what.

I've a four year old -- -- coming home from preschool with some jaw dropping questions for it.

Well I think I heard you talked about earlier today -- that you would be fired up about this Sally.

You know first I hope that the supreme court for once does the right thing and that defends free speech agri -- -- on business the FCC.

But -- I wanna say it.

What's really indecent is the consolidation in the media under so much corporate ownership.

And the fact is there's a study for in university just did it found that with the increasing consolidation of media ownership by big corporations.

There are more indecency complaint.

Bust but you think that's gonna make our kids in other words some kid's gonna end -- in juvenile hall saying -- was that big.

-- on the kindness and the point is you want consumers -- it -- turn the channel and have choice but at five companies on all the bad they can't.

-- bet my wife hates me because I spent about two hours a night turning the channel could ever have anything -- That's opened the book of -- we think about that that's it if I told you what I.

Thought about the FCC regulating what we can say on the television talk to be getting a fine right now.

But really get what you have is what it is freedom of entry -- -- where other people can come in and compete in the industry and the FCC limits margins that people can compete on that's what we wanna get away from.

And I think the point that was made earlier is an excellent one that.

Little common sense here listen that the Internet -- their kids are going to see this stuff there as well and if you go back to when I was growing up not so long ago but before the Internet.

We still learned all the dirty words and got to see the -- stuff it just a little more creativity to do it.

So sorry mom.

It's still gonna happen whether -- FCC regulates it or not they shouldn't be trampling our freedoms when this even know.

-- of reason that they can accomplish and how do you regulate all of it Charles you've got Internet TV I mean if so many sources of media these days it's.

Everything has the kid my son is fourteen you know as it did two things better than I do I think -- from a -- -- right you know they -- you can show you how to get there -- -- they have that's consuming.

FCC has actually pursued a policy of deregulation that has made it easier for five or six companies to own all of the media.

And as I said that has meant that the indecency complaints have gone up because there's no competition the public dancing -- analysts say they don't like yeah.

Reynolds out there this latest -- they're really all assay number one of one -- different versions of the same thing.

Five company -- on the media makes money by giving the viewers what they want not by throwing bad programming at -- that they hate it's driven by consumer choice but you have five companies -- forty.

Right and of course MSNBC that was standing on the bad programming thing but -- floor -- well let's -- I would tell you -- top glory.

I just a greater narrative here though is it feels like the government and a whole lot of the latest feel like they do more.

Of what to do for a kids and we -- trying to take away our authority as parents.

Sure and I think you're creating because there are so many messages that kids are already getting you want as a parent I don't need to be philosophy -- and here are being what.

I -- a classifieds I mean my attitude toward raising kids is I want.

I don't wanna be different wanna be their parents and I want to tell my girls I want you to be the last source -- -- sense that absolute I don't want to capital let me agree there.

Textbooks you know what's interesting -- position FCC -- in -- and Janet Jackson's breast was exposed and Atlanta about game you know which let's be clear is not curse word is not you know sexual nudity was.

-- Things that hope lots of kids see early on like.

The FCC receive more complaints.

From parents for that one incident being aired -- anything else in history so.

Parents are also saying look we want certain things to not be -- televisions but again we have to not infringe on free speech.

Carp Ben I got -- appropriate few quick -- though is there also a narrative here that this is just a way of empowering the FCC.

To exercise power and other ways beyond this.

Yeah it's always a slippery slope here and right I don't know I'm not a constitutional scholar our lawyers I wasn't trained to torture the -- -- words but it seems pretty clear to -- got a limited advisement of free speech I want to say thank you bandits Alley and -- really appreciate it does -- Connell will be back freedom watch.
